Vibe Killers’ “Control Freak” Is a Squelchy Club Slay

Mark and Mickey Horsey are on the loose again, as the sibling production duo known as Vibe Killers pull off their next dicey release. Issued on their own imprint, Killer Vibe Records, the VK brothers take a stab at the acid house game with the title cut from Control Freak. It’s a squelchy weapon, if we’ve ever heard one, and anticipated to do critical damage on either end of the DJ booth. A stocky kick pounds through the doorway, while an acidulous lead laves across resounding hats and claps. The 303-sodden heater will only add to their killing streak, pushing the UK-based act to the top of the most-wanted list.
