Snakehips ft. Tinashe & Chance the Rapper “All My Friends”

“All my friends are wasted, and I hate this club, and I drink too much.”

This golden nugget of a hook has been lodged in my head since yesterday afternoon, and even though I’m failing miserably at sounding anything close to Tinashe’s velvet vocal chords, it’s just too anthemic not to join in on. Even though it’s a bit of a somber message, it’s a refreshing switch from the vapid lyrics cluttering the airspace. It’s got all the pop/R&B sensibilities to have it cross over to the radio any second now, and hopefully it’ll launch Snakehips onto the radars of major label A&R guys everywhere, because they’re ruling this sound.
