Raumakustik “Raider”

Raumakustik is up next to score big on Jamie Jones’ Hot Trax—an offshoot of the always-on-fire Hot Creations imprint. Being issued with a remix from the label boss himself on the flip, the German-based duo busts out with a stand-up piece of work. It’s straight-up bangin’. Tough and agile, their instrumental cut scrapes the barrel of standard techno sounds and rearranges them into an unexampled four-floor driver. Sebastian and Volker do damage here with a full-bodied rhythm, a commanding bell and an onslaught of hyperactive synth rolls. The dancefloor won’t know what hit it.

If you were to describe this track as a scent, a signature fragrance as it were, what would it be called? If it were to have a tagline, what would it be?
The first three words that come to our mind with “Raider” are tart, honest and straight. “Play ‘Raider,’ and you’ll wake the man in you”—maybe this would be the right slogan. A parfum for a real man, a globetrotter, who has experienced almost everything, but keeping his feet on the ground and who is still curious.

Were you impulsive on this track, or did you have a sketch in mind before you started?
The main impulse of the track was: no main vocals and untypical arrangements. Everything spun with a straight, recognizable techno synth you keep in mind. So good so far to our theory—it’s up to you if this was successful.

Describe the best setting/activity to hear this track.
Prime time, main-time, drop-time… nothing for warmup. It’s just dope for your fitness training or cooking with chili.

Who is the ideal person to remix this track?
Our preferred remixer: Jamie Jones! It’s absolutely great that he is going to remix and his label Hot Trax will release it.
