MANT Turns Out Percussive Tech-House Stomper “Ra”

UK duo MANT have proved themselves as house producers on the rise over the past 12 months, with their releases charted by everyone from Pete Tong to Joris Voorn to Hot Since 82. For our next Track of the Day, we’ve got their latest release—which has only just arrived on the Solä stable, the record label run by their fellow countrymen Solardo.

“We’re very excited to be releasing ‘Ra’ on Solardo’s label,” MANT told Insomniac. “We’ve been really pleased with the response from some very important DJs, not least the incredible support from Solardo themselves. The reactions in the clubs have been mental! The tracks on the release are both party tracks with a carnival feel to it and out just in time for the Ibiza season.”

It is propelled within its first few seconds by a strong percussive drive, met around a minute in by a pulsing tech house bassline. “Ra” quickly establishes itself as a dancefloor weapon that’s built for when a DJ really needs to push things into overdrive. Together with its tribal vocal sample, it’s produced with all the trimmings.
