Egopool’s Deep-Tech “Quartz” Delivers on the Dancefloor

It’s that time of year again, when trusted sources like Mixmag and Resident Advisor deliver their Top Labels of 2016. Surprisingly, one name that didn’t make the cut this time out is Claude VonStroke’s stronghold Dirtybird.

Although the steady Bay Area stable missed with the critics, it has been a huge hit with the underground fans, thanks to recent releases from notable artists like Shiba San, Justin Martin, Justin Jay and others.

Celebrating another banner year, the city’s finest have just released The New Years Special Vol. 2, a new 10-track compilation that showcases the label’s enviable talent, including standout selections from Walker & Royce, Sage Armstrong, Dateless, Roland Clark and Weiss.

One breakthrough track, Egopool’s “Quartz,” is a peak-hour party rocker that doesn’t disappoint on the dancefloor. The German duo sound like they’re having fun in the studio making music, and it shows. Look out for them in 2017.
