Hollen & Raffaele Rizzi Join Forces on the Pulsing “Basic Duo”

Unrilis is the Italian label that revered Naples-based veteran Rino Cerrone has used for the past decade to showcase some of his country’s best house and techno talent. Its next release, due on Friday, sees two such talented producers entering the studio together. The Analog Combo EP shows Hollen & Raffaele Rizzi collaborating across three tracks, and we’re previewing the final cut from the package.

“Basic Duo” is the perfect mid-tempo DJ weapon, well suited for helping build tension in a set. Rather than going for predictable peak-time thrills, Hollen & Raffaele Rizzi lay down a hypnotic energy that’s achieved thanks to a throbbing pulse of acid. A bubbling melody is welcomed briefly during the breakdown, before the pulsing energy kicks back in.
