Ducky’s exclusive Nocturnal Wonderland 2017 mix comes fully loaded with all the feels.

Just as prominent as the blasts of body-moving beats and swirling atmospherics are the waves and waves of tactile emotions washing all over her frantic, soul-stirring mix.

Bouncing on classic rave vibes, this mix shows Ducky truly immersing herself. Recorded live and direct, it’s free from any post-mix editing. She packs it full of her signature sound, dropping a clutch of self-produced tracks, including “Oceans,” “I Can Do It Myself,” and “Freak Out.”

Ducky displays her remixing process, too, delivering her versions of tracks from Knife Party, Porter Robinson, and Madeon. She pays tribute to Chester Bennington and Linkin Park with a simultaneously emotional and face-melting rework of LP’s 2000 Hybrid Theory classic “One Step Closer.”

“To me, it’s all about the philosophy—people coming together, and the vibe of the crowd,” she told Insomniac earlier this year when asked to explain the true spirit of rave. “I just did a party here in L.A. called Ugh Just Rave. We originally tried to do it at a warehouse, and it got shut down by like 12 squad cars. So, we had the makeup show at a big L.A. club called Union. That event was so important to me, and I think the reason it was so successful was because it was a return to that philosophy. We’re here for the music, and the foundation of why we’re here is love, respect, and positivity.”

Ducky ends the sweaty, happy mix with her own rave-tastic take on Darude’s eternal rave favorite, “Sandstorm,” cranking up the BPMs to their breaking point before it goes spiraling off into the distance.

“I didn’t come from a super good home, and raving was a really beautiful place for me,” she revealed to us about why the culture is so important to her that she’s become an integral part of it herself. “I could connect with other people and feel these emotions and get taken on a journey outside of myself, but be present. Now, I have this gift of curating people’s emotional experience while I’m up there.”
