For many people, going to music festivals means so much more than spending a night partying. It means reuniting with loved ones, making unforgettable memories and treasuring the special moments that we don’t always get to enjoy. When it comes to making the most out of these rare occasions, there’s no better place to celebrate than at Electric Daisy Carnival.

This week, Insomniac invites three Headliners to share their favorite stories with a special-edition #TBT. Here’s what they had to share.

Headliner: Chris | Hometown: Charleston, SC | EDC Orlando: 2014

What’s going on in this picture?
This is a picture of me with my two best friends on day two of EDC. We went to kineticFIELD and wanted to get a picture together before doing anything else, because we knew we’d be dancing the day away and would probably forget later on.

Why did you choose to share this one with us?
We met in college, but now the three of us are spread across the country in Georgia, Florida and California. Despite the distance, our friendship has remained strong and will for many years to come. I chose this photo because although I rarely get to see them now, I know that the best way to celebrate our reunions is by jamming out together Under the Electric Sky!

How does this picture best describe your overall EDC experience?
Talking and sharing music with each other over the internet isn’t the same as doing it in real life. EDC Orlando gives us a chance to reconnect with each other on a more personal level. The food, rides, incredible stages, art installations, and chance to meet new people creates a magical environment that allows us to make memories that last a lifetime.

Headliner: Samantha | Hometown: Fort Lauderdale, FL | EDC Orlando: 2014

What’s going on in this picture?
I love to wander the festival grounds looking at other Headliners’ costumes and creations. I saw this blossoming Rainbow Rotella totem, so I had to snag a picture!

Why did you choose to share this one with us?
I feel like this picture truly embodies what EDC is about. It allows people to express themselves through costumes, totems and more. I love the sense of unity it brings to people, even two who didn’t know each other before.

How does this picture best describe your overall EDC experience?
I created such strong connections with other people across the country, people who share the same interests as me, whether it be sharing the same love for a certain artist or revealing who they are through their artistry of costume, kandi or totem-making. EDC is an amazing outlet to display creativity with absolutely no worries of judgment around you.

Headliner: Christian | Hometown: Bronx, NY | EDC Orlando: 2014

What’s going on in this picture?
I was bro steppin’ with all my boys when we decided to post up for an epic picture at the mainstage.

Why did you choose to share this one with us?
I chose to share this picture because it really depicts how much fun we had, and it brings back a really great memory of my boys and me.

How does this picture best describe your overall EDCO experience?
This was the best experience by far. It was the most fun I’ve ever had!
