We capture a mental fingerprint of some of our musical and cultural heroes and preserve it in cyber-amber for the wonderment of future generations. This is the Insomniac Questionnaire.

What was your favorite toy as a child and why did you stop playing with it?
Jence: My Commodore 64 computer. It was outdated in the ‘90s.
Isi: It was a He-Man puppet. Something else popped up, but he is still here.

What is the best advice you’ve ever gotten? Did you take it?
Jence: Recently I was told that when your bowling ball curves toward the left, you should start off more from the left, which sounds contradictory.
Isi: To be honest.

What part of your day do you most look forward to?
Jence: The morning. You get most of your stuff done.
Isi: Is it boring if I say the entire day, from morning until I go in bed? Every day is different.

What’s the best time you’ve ever had without spending money?
Jence: I regularly have a lot of good times without spending money. I can find fun in a lot of things.
Isi: Walking from the mountain to the beach—pure nature—smelling the seaside.

What is your most treasured possession?
Jence: I travel a lot and live out of suitcases, so it has to be idealistic values; everything is replaceable. Either that or my old mini-VHS videotapes from childhood.
Isi: Me.

What is your favorite word?
Jence: Yo.
Isi: Word.

Do you owe an apology to anyone?
Isi: No.

When is the last time you were really scared?
Jence: This week’s aviation headlines.
Isi: Two days ago.

What is the last thing you googled?
Jence: The address of a barbershop nearby.
Isi: Sport news.

What’s the last sound you would want to hear before you die?
Jence: A very long sound. It means I would have more time.

Do you have any recurring dreams or nightmares? If not, what’s the last dream you remember having?
Jence: Imagine the Redwoods but bigger; and a giant swing. Imagine you’re swinging through that forest. I thought that was kind of fun! A lot of times I wake up smiling.

How do you measure success?
Jence: Being able to afford a certain life.
Isi: Making people happy.

If you could have one magical power, what would you want and why?
Jence: Flying is fun.
Isi: Flying into space or to the moon and giving a concert.

Have you ever had a brush with the paranormal or supernatural?
Jence: No.

What do you remember about your first kiss?
Jence: It was in darkness.
Isi: It made me happy.

What four words best describe you?
Jence: I let other people do that.
Isi: A small bear who is not funny.

What’s the last impulsive thing you did?
Jence: I booked a studio in L.A. for next week.
Isi: I went to a jump park and was a little kid again.

Do you have a pet? Tell us a story about it.
Jence: I don’t have one, but a monkey would be cool.
Isi: Pets are really cool but nothing for me. BTW, that doesn’t mean that I don’t like pets.

What is your best personality trait?
Isi: Helpful.

Do you believe in any conspiracy theories or urban legends?
Jence: No.
Isi: Yes, I do.
