We all journey down different paths in our daily lives. Some of us are full-time parents; others are college students, programming specialists, or CEOs of pharmaceutical companies, to name a few. When we venture to a festival, however, we remove our costumes and transform into truer versions of ourselves, meeting in a world that allows us to leave all our worries (and boring-ass clothes) behind.

This week, Insomniac celebrates a special edition of #TransformationTuesday honoring those impacted by the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting.

What would you like to say to those affected by the recent tragedy in Las Vegas?
My hometown is deeply saddened by what’s happened, but the beautiful part about this tragedy is the love and support we have received from our community, our nation, and other countries. Fear will not trump the love we have for each other, and we will not give these terrorists the satisfaction they desire. Instead, we will show just how much love our hearts can give. Mine goes out to those who have lost a loved one.

Festivals are about love—love for the music, the musicians, the people you share it with, and the memories you leave with. Although this festival ended in such a tragedy, there is still love to be found. We want those affected to know we are here for them and we love them. We saw how they didn’t hesitate to help and protect each other during this horrific time. Even though those were awful moments, thank you for reminding us there is still good in the world. I want to express my deepest sympathies to those impacted by the Route 91 shooting. Love wins.

While our genres may be different, it is our love of music that makes us the same. Nothing will stop us from coming together and sharing the joy and good vibes we all know and love. The EDM community has your back.

It breaks my heart to know so many beautiful lives were taken and so many innocent people were injured and traumatized. I wanted to share my deepest condolences to those who have lost a loved one. Words cannot express my sadness. May the comfort of God help you through this difficult time, and to all who were able to make it out alive, I know this is a sorrowful time. Please know that I am thinking of you and praying for your peace and comfort. I would also like to acknowledge the bravery and unity the people have shown during this tragedy. It’s proof that altruism still exists. You are all heroes.

My condolences go out to those affected by the cowardly attack on Route 91. It reminds us that life is precious and to value every second of it. This has knocked us down as a nation, but we will stand tall again. Let’s hold our chin up and remind these terrorists that we will not fold to terrorism. Let’s keep on living, and remember to always show PLUR!

If I could give each and every one of them a hug, I would. Always look at the positive side of life, no matter how bad the situation is at the moment. The best thing to do is pray and be thankful for what you have in your everyday life. Peace, love, unity and respect.
