We all journey down different paths in our daily lives. Some of us work in aquaponics; others are engineers, waiters, and retired army vets, to name a few. When we venture to a festival, however, we remove our costumes and transform into truer versions of ourselves, meeting in a world that allows us to leave all our worries (and boring-ass clothes) behind.

This week, Insomniac celebrates a special New Year’s Eve–themed edition of #TransformationTuesday. Read our full #TransformationTuesday series to meet even more awesome Headliners. And remember, ravers are everywhere.

Countdown New Year’s Eve 2017 tickets are on sale now.

With so many dazzling events on New Year’s Eve, why do you find Countdown to be so captivating?
I would be really excited to see deadmau5 live, as it would be a first for me. He was one of the first artists I came across when I started listening to electronic music, and as a DJ and producer myself, his music has been a huge inspiration for me. I can only imagine how amazing it would be to finally see him perform one of his legendary sets live!

I always look forward to the incredible artists Insomniac lines up for us year after year, as well as the new friends and family I’ll make while dancing the night away. Porter Robinson always has amazing vibes, and the crowd he brings is something special. I also love Shiba San, Jai Wolf, and 4B and would be stoked to see them as well. The Zeds Dead b2b Jauz performance is also going to be out of this world. And as always, Insomniac never fails to kill it with Discovery Project. It’s the only way to start a new year.

My first rave happened to be Countdown New Year’s Eve three years ago, when it was still a one-day festival. I have been hooked on the scene ever since! My most unforgettable and breathtaking moment would have to be when Porter Robinson dropped “Language” during the countdown to midnight. It was truly a beautiful moment—everyone was vibing so well with each other. It’s funny, because I feel like I’ve come full-circle since I get to see Porter Robinson again this year. He’s definitely one of my all-time favorites!

If I ever have the chance to go to Countdown, I would be excited for the memories I would make with my rave fam. That includes my rave babe, Miguel, and my two closest rave sisters, Morgan and Nina. We are your “Rave Moms Gone Wild!” This year, I would love to see Yellow (motherfuckin’) Claw, Galantis, and Alison Wonderland. As [I am] a veteran who lives with PTSD, their music is the reason I am able to wipe away my tears, keep my happiness, and push through life. Seeing them live with my rave fam would be an amazing way to ring in 2018.

I’ve been to EDC Las Vegas for the past four years and can only imagine how amazing a New Year’s celebration would be with Insomniac! I’m always blown away by their stage production, and they always have the best lineups. deadmau5 is one artist I’ve been dying to see, and getting lost in the feels with Porter Robinson is always beyond magical. It looks like I may have to make the trip to Countdown this year! I also love being surrounded by the most friendly, vibrant, and selfless people. Ringing in the New Year among all those special, kindhearted souls would be absolutely incredible.
