Jakwob’s Electro Jam “Hoover It”
Jakwob is a name you should know by now. The Londoner, aka James Jacob, has been churning out quality house jams over the past decade for solid underground labels like Tiga’s Turbo, Digital Soundboy, This Ain’t Bristol, and many others.
Following up “Bring the Heat” and “Feel so Good,” he returns with the Lifted EP, a five-track sojourn through eerie warehouse euphoria, including his signature broken beat, pulsing techno, and percussive drive. “Hoover It” is a definitive moment, delivering a late-night electro vibe punctuated with clanging snare hits and acid synth stabs.
“This track is weird,” Jakwob tells Insomniac. “You’d have to have a pretty open-minded audience for it to go down well in a set. But whatever. it’s where I’m at creatively—trying to bring a twisted club atmosphere direct to your headphones.”
Available October 10 on Boom Ting.
