For his Enhanced Recordings debut, NYC’s Jenaux was met with nothing but fluttering heartbeats and free-flying heart-hands. In other words, it’s completely taken off. Between exulting, striking vocal work from Pia Toscano and Jenaux’s ear-piercing piano melody, together they are sitting on one of the most far-reaching releases of the year.

The hit has proved to be more than just a blip on the radar, as it finds new ways to land in the sets of the big guns in the form of the forthcoming remix EP. Featured on the pack is Enhanced regular Wrechiski, who runs up with his racy rework. Keeping the keys intact, the Brazilian wrecking ball sweeps in with soaring synth lines and euphoric atmospherics that transport the tune to vibe central.

Available June 8 via Enhanced Music.

Were you impulsive on this track, or did you have a sketch in mind before you started?
I got really inspired by the original mix, so I created a whole new harmonic progression to make it unique. I had so much fun in the studio when doing this remix; I must say, it’s one of my best remixes so far. Things were really natural, and I love when the work flows like this!

Was there one particular moment in the recording or mixing process of this track that made you feel as though you were creating something pretty damn special?
Yes, when I just finished the drop after the first breakdown—I got goosebumps!

Do you think advances in computer technology and gear have affected your creativity?
Def! It’s awesome how technology can be helpful in a lot of things in music production: at the mixing stage, when composing, and mainly at sound designing, in my case. I’m that type of guy that really digs information about plugins and VSTs, so I’m always learning new things and working hard to develop new sounds as well. But I must say, I keep my plugins list short; otherwise, you get surrounded by tons of software and more worried by getting sounds instead of the music itself, so this can be tricky.

Describe the best setting/activity to hear this track.
On a big-ass line array system, at a huge festival somewhere in the US!

What’s your favorite sound/synth/effect/etc. used here?
Virus TI, Massive, Sylenth for synths—I really found a good way to work with these together, so I know exactly what they’ll do separately to layer them later on.

UAD, FabFilter and my old analog Distressor for mixing. At the beginning, I had tons of plugins but didn’t know how to use them properly, so I made my plugins shorter and decided to go for these specially (and a few more that I use here and there) and started to use these on a daily basis. So I can make much more now with a few plugins than I ever did before.

GRM Tools for fx/sound designing. They’re just so flexible and give you tons of harmonics possibilities.
