Grensta Rolls Up His Sleeves on Thumping House Number “I.C.U.”

Nothing will make a person get down to work quite like leaving a job. This was exactly the catalyst for Grensta’s thumping house number “I.C.U.” It’s a deep and bouncy bit of dance music that’s as stripped-down and precise as it is catchy and warm. The Bay Area artist prides himself on the analog bassline here, and rightfully so. Smooth and hypnotic, it rolls through the track like honey with a very garage feel.

The rhythms circulate around the type of classic one-two punch that keeps feet on the dancefloor. The final piece to the triumph here is the sultry vocal hook that seeps straight into the listener’s subconscious mind. Interestingly enough, it is Grensta’s own voice at play here, pitched up and layered with effects. It’s the type of get-it-done creativity that shines through on this track. Of course, all of this spirit shines through on the second track from this release, “Street Tingz,” which makes a perfect companion piece.
