EDX Samples Dance Music Gold With “Missing” on Spinnin’ Deep

Swiss DJ/producer EDX has done a superb job of crafting his own unique sound, deep house situated on the more accessible side of the spectrum, with those unmistakable bouncy basslines that just can’t be beat. His first offering for the year is a rather huge new record that’s due for release on the deep house sublabel of Dutch favorites Spinnin’ Records.

“Missing” takes inspiration from the Anything but the Girl classic of the same name, a club anthem from the early ‘90s that still rings strong two decades after its release. Opting not to draw on Tracy Thorn’s classic vocals, EDX instead draws on the talents of Netherlands vocalist Mingue so he can rework the classic in his own style.

EDX’s “Missing” has been made available early on Spotify, while fans will also be able to pick it up on Beatport when it drops on February 12. Check it out on SoundCloud below.
