Smalltown DJs Drop a Bumpin’ and Jackin’ Remix of “Act Right”

Joluca return to the Perfect Driver label for their brand-new four-track The Head Game EP. The brotherly duo is welcomed back to the fold after making a big impression with their contribution to the L.A. label’s Swerve Volume 3 compilation back in 2016. Packing two original tracks—plus their respective remixes—we’ve lined up the funky Smalltown DJs rework of “Act Right” as our Track of the Day.

The Smalltown DJs have turned out a remix that’s bumpin’ and jackin’ in equal measures (not to mention, sporting a welcome dose of wacky weirdness). They make proper use of the quirky vocals from Mz 007, the “princess of the Lou,” whose vocals are featured in the original. Adding to her super-fly delivery, the duo locks down a rollicking groove that’s front-loaded with quirky vibes and screwball charm.
