“CHILL SUMMER FUN VIBES.”

With just four words, delivered in all caps, Trippy Turtle succinctly summarized a new pool party playlist compiled in advance of his upcoming set at Nocturnal Wonderland 2017.

The song selection is quite the party in and of itself, rolling out a panoramic guest list that finds Major Lazer hobnobbing with Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen, Ed Sheeran grilling up the vegan hotdogs and Bruno Mars dancing poolside with Rita Ora. Trippy Turtle brings a special guest of his own, hitting the scene with Soulja Boy in tow, featured on TT track “Lettuce.”

“The second you hear the first 8-count (of each song), they put a smile on your face,” is how he defines the “pool party” element of his playlist. “The bass kick in the background, paired with the recognizable samples and unique sound effects in rhythmic patterns, keep your body rocking.”

With Trippy Turtle ready to bring those feel-good vibes to Nocturnal Wonderland, he’s striving to make it a truly memorable occasion in his adopted habitat.

“This is a hometown show for me—well, my hometown is in the middle of a pond in Norway, but my new home is California—so you’d better believe I’ll make it a special one. My friends will probably come out, and you know when we pull up, the place turns into a zoo! I’ll also be playing all of the new music off my latest release, The Trippy EP, for one of the first times live. It’s super exciting but also makes me a little nervous, like I want to hide inside my shell. Hope you guys like it!”

“Insomniac is the best at what they do,” the Turtle adds before gliding off on a lily pad. “Their festivals are flawless every time, whether it’s the 22nd year or the first year. Party animals are always extra excited when Insomniac is behind a festival; the energy in the air sparkles. People love to play dress-up—some people even as turtles!”

You can catch Trippy Turtle doing his thing at Nocturnal Wonderland 2017, which takes place Friday, September 15, and Saturday, September 16, at Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernardino, CA. For more information, visit the official website.
