JSTJR Recruits a Fierce Squad on ‘Tiguere the Remixes’ EP for Insomniac Records

JSTJR had a big hit on his hands earlier this year with the bouncy, eclectic tune “Tiguere,” which dotted along with serious help from Jenn Morel on vocal duties. So, it’s only logical that he and Insomniac Records would whip up a whole remix EP to follow suit. There are a lot of strong names on this package, including Akira Akira, Kid Kobra, BK Beats, and Schade. However, the real beast to look out for is the mad VIP, which sees JSTJR going in with rising global rhythm experimenter Rathero.

This flip of “Tiguere” takes the vibe of the original and leans it into a much more moombahton direction. The beat jumps up just a bit, but the energy launches to the next level here. Tense builds drop into wild horns and sirens—the kind that definitely get hands up in the air.

There’s no way this version won’t be hitting many decks as partygoers try to keep hold of those last summer rays. “Tiguere” was already a big festival tune on its own, but with this cranked-up VIP, Rathero and JSTJR will have the whole club dripping in sweat.
