Rave veteran Tommie Sunshine has put his legacy to fine use with his Brooklyn Fire label. Employing it as a laser-focused avenue for digging up killer sounds from the underground, the label has done exactly that with the new Cuzzö & LiTB cut “Ghost.” A menacing slice of dark, driving tech house that’s geared for powerful moments in dimly lit nightclubs, “Ghost” was already featured on Brooklyn Fire’s 20K Leagues compilation and is about to drop as a single, too.

Cuzzö is the result of Jon Cullen and John Puzzo putting their heads together to create dark, deep, bass-driven house music, and they confirm the track was first conceived in a cold, snowy Connecticut basement last year, inspired by the “ghostly” emptiness that many tend to feel during the never-ending Northeast winters. After nailing the core of the track, the duo brought it to their friend Michael Mullally (LiTB), who added the extra layers and production polish.

The resulting “Ghost” is a killer tech house cut that’s both pounding and atmospheric. And by the looks of it, they’re all over the moon for being showcased among Tommie Sunshine’s stable.

Available August 24 via Brooklyn Fire.
