Champagne Drip continues to carve out a path that’s all his own. From his OG days in the drum & bass scene to his heaven trap excursions—and everywhere in between—it’s obvious that genre boundaries have no place in the jaw-dropping world Champagne Drip calls home, with his latest Obelisk EP pushing the envelope even further.

Finding a home on Liquid Stranger’s “weird and wonderful” WAKAAN imprint, the Los Angeles–based artist dives deep into the untethered realms of freeform bass with a mix of leftfield-leaning melodies and tripped-out bass jaunts. Centered on Champagne Drip’s unique approach to production and his unmatched ability to craft intricate soundscapes that merge like an complex synaptic web of deconstructed groove, these four heavyweight cuts are sure to hit listeners full-force and reward those down for multiple listens.
