Bombo Rosa’s “Doors” Is Breaks Music Meant for Pure Body Work
Bombo Rosa, Brazil’s fiery bass masters, are back to bring some serious business into the new year. This forthcoming reappearance on Punks Music goes by the name of “Doors,” and it definitely hits the low-end in all the right places.
Led by a stripped-down clap backbeat, this is the kind of tune that will instantly put bodies straight to werk. A breezy tropical breakdown gives the track a momentary tone-setting chill, before slamming right back down with hip-gyrating 808 bass and a broken beat that just won’t quit. Bombo Rosa keeps the whole train chugging along with a minimal build while twisting the dynamic through rhythmic shuffles, slow builds, and of course, manipulated Brazilian vocal samples.
“Doors” is definitely not a track trying to break the mold; it’s the kind of excellence that rules from the other end of the spectrum. Clearly, Bombo Rosa know precisely which crowd they’re aiming for, and they nail a bit of tropical-flared bass music with the kind of style and punch capable of making any listener drop it as low as the tones go here. From future to Miami bass, everyone in the deep end is gonna need a mop after this one drops.
Available January 26 from Punks Music.
