From the start of his Dj career, TK Vicious’s (aka The Kid Vicious) game plan has been clearly defined; Dig for songs that are fresh and outside the box, then unleash them on unsuspecting crowds. He’s always on the hunt for the weirdest and funkiest tunes, regardless of genre, and you can be sure every set will be different and all the way live. His live sets and productions both are all over the genre map, getting his start in dubstep and moombahton, but constantly making stops in house, drum and bass, juke/footwork, trap, carnival and everything in between.
TKV is a founding member/resident of District:160, Minneapolis’s longest running juke/footwork night. D:160 has hosted a plethora of Teklife Djs, including Traxman, Dj Spinn, Manny, Dj Earl, Dj Taye, DJ Tre and Sirr Tmo, as well as Tekk Dj’s Violet Systems, and many more Footwork luminaries.
Over the last few years, both solo and as half of Belz n Whzzlz (w/ Nostalgia), TK Vicious has been direct support for Boys Noize, Salva, Buku, UZ, ETC! ETC!, Snails, Flava D, Nadastrom, Willy Joy, Luminox, Vaski, OktoRed, Dirty South Joe & Flufftronix, and more..
The tunes he produces are supported by djs as diverse as Dave Nada, Nostalgia, Johnny Foreplay, Oktored, MSCLS, Dj Earl and Tanner Caldwell and have seen official releases on labels as disparate as Play Me, Prime Audio, Juke Trax, 119 Sound, and YoSucka! as well as free releases from Deadly Vipers Recordings, Dicksquad, Moomba+ and JukeWorldOrder. The “Fire Squad” Ep (Prime Audio) saw a chart topping #1 dubstep album position in its first week, and stayed in the top 5 for weeks afterwards.
