The days are getting longer, and it’s time to start thinking about summer parties and playlists. Sure to be included in our rotation is guitar hero Beat Fatigue’s rework of Krafty Kuts’ “It Ain’t My Fault.” With its funky guitar licks, fuzzy synths, velcro hook, sly scratching, and optimistic lyrics, the cut’s infectious, carefree vibe had our heads nodding, arms waving, and hips swaying at the needle drop.

Produced by Krafty Kuts and Dynamite MC, along with Jurassic 5’s Chali 2na, “It Ain’t My Fault” is the second release from Krafty and Dynamite’s LP, All 4 Corners, and features Vanilla Ace, Bass Kleph’s TAISUN, and Kraak n Smack on remix duty, as well. Known for his guitar work, however, the Netherlands’ Beat Fatigue plucks the right amount of Chic-like groove into his remix.

“I was super stoked that I got the opportunity to remix this track,” Beat Fatigue tells Insomniac. “I started jamming on my guitar and recorded a cool riff. Not much later, I got a cool lil groovy track down!”

It’s big, bright, and bouncy—and if you don’t like that, well, you know what…

Available March 31 via Central Station Records.
