The Insomniac Five gets weird and random with your favorite DJs and producers, picking their brains with oddball interviews and preserving it all in the cyber amber. Learn about their biggest fears, favorite foods, strangest experiences and more.

Valentino Khan has been keeping busy as one of the most in-demand remixers in the business, being commissioned by everyone from Wiz Khalifa to Paul McCartney to Benny Benassi. No stranger to twerkable music, Khan’s recent remix of Skrillex’s “Recess” is sure to get your posterior moving, and his co-producer credit on Diplo’s smash hit “Bubble Butt” has forever enshrined him in the booty music pantheon. Khan has toured with Skrillex, Zedd, and The Bloody Beetroots and will be playing both Hard Summer and Holy Ship! Fans will be happy to know that his debut EP is set to drop later this summer. Until then, check out his Insomniac Five:

I like to listen to music really damn loud. Like, louder than anyone I know.

Describe your perfect date.
I’d fly her first-class to Paris, and then we’d eat Jack in the Box. I don’t think they have Jack in the Box there, but they should. She’d be in love.

Have you driven anyone insane?
I don’t think so. Between the long studio hours and plane flights, maybe I’ve done it to myself, but I enjoy it all.

What song lyric or movie line best describes your philosophy on life?
“Turn my music high” from Jay-Z’s “You Don’t Know,” because I like to listen to music really damn loud. Like, louder than anyone I know. And I pour everything I have into my music. I’m in my element when I’m going hard in the studio while blasting new music.

Have you ever had a brush with the paranormal or supernatural?
No. One time I held glow sticks at a rave. Does that count?

First album purchased with your own money?
I’m going to say it’s probably the soundtrack to Space Jam. That one was a classic.
