‎Insomniac Events
Price: Free

We all journey down different paths in our daily lives. Some of us are camp counselors; others are students, teachers, or cyber security analysts, to name a few. When we venture to a festival, however, we remove our costumes and transform into truer versions of ourselves, meeting in a world that allows us to leave all our worries (and boring-ass clothes) behind.

Insomniac celebrates #TransformationTuesday by asking six unique Headliners to discuss their lives in and out of the festival.

Read our full #TransformationTuesday series to meet even more awesome Headliners. And remember: Ravers are everywhere.

What is your favorite Insomniac event and why?
I actually have not been to an Insomniac event yet, but I will be attending EDC Las Vegas this May, and I am over the moon about it. Overall, I just love every rave event I have been to because of the friendly personality of everyone and the love they offer to the community. I love dancing and meeting new people from around the world and giving all the PLUR I can offer!

What is your favorite Insomniac event and why?
EDC Las Vegas will be hands-down my favorite Insomniac event. EDC Las Vegas was my very first festival. For a few years, my best friend Ernie tried convincing me to go. I finally made the decision to do it, and my life changed so much that weekend. I came across so many people from so many walks of life. 2017 will always be my year of first everything. Thank you, Insomniac.

What is your favorite Insomniac event and why?
I live in Utah, so I don’t think I’ve ever been to an Insomniac event, but I’m going to my first EDC Las Vegas this year. I’m pretty stoked. My friend and I bought the camping package and everything. EDC Las Vegas is going to help me check off so many bucket-list DJs. The feels I’m going to experience walking through those gates—I’m probably going to bawl.

What is your favorite Insomniac event and why?
Middlelands was my favorite Insomniac event. It amazed me from the moment I stepped inside. The fire, dancers, jugglers, and food stands really brought the Renaissance to life—all in the middle of a music festival. I also loved how green it was and that it took place in nature. I remember the cameras rolling back and forth on wires connected to the trees. My favorite set was Phantogram.

My favorite festival has to be Nocturnal Wonderland. Everything from the production, the performers walking around, the venue, and camping are amazing. There’s a hill where the entrance is located. When you stand up there during the sunset, you’re able to see everyone at the festival just vibing, and it’s so pretty with how green it is there. EDC is a close second!

EDC Las Vegas, because it’s like visiting another planet. All the stages, lights, and fireworks are out of this world. I’ll never forget experiencing EDC Las Vegas for the first time in 2016 with my rave fam. In 2017, I met so many great people who also missed their dogs when they saw my puppy totem. I’m excited to say I’ll be coming back home at EDC Vegas 2018!
