Here’s What 6 Headliners Look Like When They’re Not at Festivals

We all journey down different paths in our daily lives. Some of us are corporate workers; others are grocery store clerks, painters, or auto technicians, to name a few. When we venture to a festival, however, we remove our costumes and transform into truer versions of ourselves, meeting in a world that allows us to leave all our worries (and boring-ass clothes) behind. In honor of Valentine’s Day, Insomniac celebrates a special couples-themed edition of #TransformationTuesday.

Headliners: Jessica and Brian
Ages: 30 and 29
Hometowns: Los Angeles, CA
Occupations: Bartenders
How long have you each been raving? 13–14 years
What is your favorite part about raving together?
Our favorite part has to be all the different places we get to visit in the process! We flew to New York City for EDC, which was epic! We’ve experienced EDC in so many different cities, including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and now New York. We always have the best time together. #RaveBae

How long have you each been raving? 5 and 10 years
What is your favorite part about raving together?
Our favorite part about raving is the sole fact that without it, we would have never met one another. We met for the first time at EDC Las Vegas 2016, and after that, we chose to date long-distance for a year and a half before I made the move out to Phoenix. Without raving, we would never be where we are today: fiancées! We can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives adventuring through the rave scene together!

How long have you each been raving? 2 years
What is your favorite part about raving together?
We love raving together because it’s something that we both fell in love with together. We can be ourselves 100 percent without judgment from the people around us. Every time we go to a show, it strengthens our relationship, bonding us closer together.

How long have you each been raving? 4 years
What is your favorite part about raving together?
Every time we set foot on the dancefloor, we escape together and grow and bond in our marriage. When we go to raves, we are able to be the goofy, nerdy, and fun couple we are. When we got married at EDC, we realized that our happiness was at all the festivals we can go to. When the music bumps, our ears and minds go to a place we call “home.” The music and the people we meet are what make us happy as a whole. We will never stop raving together, even when we are old and have kids and grandkids. We can’t wait to see what the future of raving has in store for us.

How long have you each been raving? 3–4 years
What is your favorite part about raving together?
Our favorite part about raving together is that we get to enjoy every moment together. Everything is amazing, whether it’s seeing all the lights or listening to all the sounds, holding one another while swaying to the music. Enjoying it together brings us closer. When we go to a festival, we are able to escape the outside world of work, allowing us to connect on a deeper level. It’s like a mini vacation for us to enjoy. It makes us both fall in love again.

Occupations: Site coordinator for major pharmaceutical company and painter
How long have you each been raving? 5 years and 1 year
What is your favorite part about raving together?
We met at EDC last year during Illenium’s set. We met up for Porter Robinson and during that magical set, we connected on a whole new level and fell in love. We’ve been together ever since, traveling to see each other and going to new festivals every month!
