Get to know these Awesome People from day two of EDC Mexico.

Name: Subi
Age: 25
Hometown: China, but living in Los Angeles now.
Is this your first time coming to EDC Mexico? Yes, my first time.
What’s one thing you wish everyone knew about Mexico? This is my very first time in Mexico—ever. I’m looking forward to experiencing the culture.
How would you describe EDC to your friends who have never had the opportunity to come? I haven’t been to many Insomniac events in the US (I’ve been to EDC Vegas and Escape), but I feel like Mexico is one of a kind—especially this wasteLAND stage. I’ve never seen it before; it’s very urban, and I like the vibe. People are just going crazy here for trap and drum & bass. I love it. It feels different from the shows I’ve been to, because I feel like Mexico really brings its own culture, and I really like how the Mexican culture is blended into EDC here. I mean, Vegas is massive, but I really wanted to try something different. I feel like people here don’t dress up as much, but it’s new—only the fourth year—so I think the fans here will learn, and you’ll see more dressing up in the future.

What’s one thing you wish everyone knew about Mexico?
Claudia: Over everything, the culture, and that the people are very warm.
Marie: Mexico is an incredible country. It has very nice, warm people. The culture is the best.
How would you describe EDC to your friends who have never had the opportunity to come?
Claudia: I think this is the best electronic music festival here in Mexico. The whole place has the best vibes, and it’s where you can enjoy yourself and live life.
Marie: It’s the best. It’s like a dream. It’s incredible.

Name: Jocelyn and Maritza

What’s one thing you wish everyone knew about Mexico?
Jocelyn: I love the culture, I love the architecture, the art—everything.
Maritza: There’s lots of diversity. It’d be great if they knew everything there is: entertainment, trips, tourism. There’s more to it than what it seems.
How would you describe EDC to your friends who have never had the opportunity to come?
Jocelyn: It’s worth every fucking penny.
Maritza: It was a great experience. I didn’t stop dancing yesterday, and I ended the night very tired, but I had a very good time.
