Awesome People We Met at Nocturnal Wonderland 2017

On day one of Nocturnal Wonderland 2017, we roamed the campground in search of awesome campers who were living it up in their tents, RVs and campsites. We kicked off the final day of Nocturnal Wonderland by meeting even more awesome Headliners and making new lifelong friends.

What’s your spirit animal? Raccoon, because they love the nighttime, they’ll eat anything, and they’re crazy motherfuckers.
What’s been the highlight of your weekend so far? I’m here with all the right people, and it’s been the best vibes. I’ve had bad juju at other events, and this event has been relaxed and comfortable.
What brings you the most joy in life? Free thought.

Name: Isaac
Age: 22
Hometown: Napa Valley, CA
Occupation: I work in a culinary garden right now for a farm-to-table restaurant at a winery. I work in the garden all day, harvesting vegetables and fruits. I love my job!
How many times have you been to Nocturnal Wonderland? First
What’s your spirit animal? Rhinoceros, because they’re big and they get what they want.
What’s been the highlight of your weekend so far? I wandered into a Vindata set last night, and I’d never heard of them. It was a great stage, super fun, and I ended up having one of the best times of my life.
What brings you the most joy in life? Making food for people. I love seeing the smile on someone’s face because of what I made and how it brings joy to their life. You can do it through words, you can do it through music, but my expression is food, so being able to share my art with people and bringing nourishment to them is what brings me the most joy in life.

How many times have you been to Nocturnal Wonderland? First
What’s your spirit animal? Panda, because I’m not very fluffy, but I think I embody a fluffy character. Plus, they’re fun and kinda slow and lazy and like to lounge around, and that’s totally me.
What’s been the highlight of your weekend so far? I loved seeing Mija’s set, and the whole group that I came with. We’ve been talking to each other for months before Nocturnal, but we never actually met each other face to face until this weekend; that was really dope.
What brings you the most joy in life? Kindness, for sure. I think so many people in this world can be cruel, and seeing random acts of kindness without expecting anything in return is such an enlightening thing to witness.

How many times have you been to Nocturnal Wonderland? First
What’s your spirit animal? An owl, for sure, because I’m genuinely a very insomniac person. I’m basically up most the night. Plus, owls are beautiful and wise.
What’s been the highlight of your weekend so far? All the nice people and the beautiful stages and art—it’s so amazing. The camping, too. There were these people making pancakes for everyone, just because—so cool. There are so many beautiful people here. My entire experience has been great.
What brings you the most joy in life? Definitely music. Music has always been there for me to help me through anxiety or depression or to soothe me. It makes me feel good; it can take you to a different place.

What’s your spirit animal? Monkey, because they’re goofy and fun and sporadic, and they act on emotion.
What’s been the highlight of your weekend so far? Enjoying the time with my friends, because I don’t get to see them very often. I came out with more than 20 people.
What brings you the most joy in life? Donuts! My favorite one is the Homer Donut from Donut Bar in San Diego.

How many times have you been to Nocturnal Wonderland? First
What’s your spirit animal? A black panther or a unicorn, or a mixture of both. I like the panthers because they’re fierce, and the unicorn because it’s very different.
What’s been the highlight of your weekend so far? When the camera crew was over here by the pool and all the Headliners were having a huge splash fight. The entire pool was in on it, and it was absolutely amazing.
What brings you the most joy in life? I would say when I play the violin and other people become emotional or sentimental or even cry from my music. That definitely brings me the most joy in life.

What’s your spirit animal? Panda, because they’re super comfortable and cute.
What’s been the highlight of your weekend so far? Seeing Trippy Turtle was super dope—plus the camping, and really just walking around meeting new people and experiencing everything here at the festival.
What brings you the most joy in life? It might sound cheesy or obvious, but dancing definitely makes me happy and brings me the most joy in life. I love getting into my groove and letting the music make you forget about everything.
