20 for ‘15: Maduk

Taking home the Best Newcomer Producer award last year was obviously not a fluke for Maduk. The Dutch phenom followed on from the nod he received from the Drum & Bass Arena in finest of forms after enjoying a textbook blowing-up year that saw him smash through the ceiling in so many ways. But eyes have long been on this steadily strengthening producer, who has made crowds catch tons of feelings from his full-of-life liquid rollers. From the heavy flow of fan support he’s garnered around his Liquicity brand (peep the Liquicity Yearmix he recently dropped to inundate your ears with drum & bass genius) to the exclusive deal he struck with the all-powerful Hospital Records crew, Maduk is a name you should familiarize yourself with forwards and backwards.

“I signed a record deal with Hospital Records and made a track with one of my personal heroes, Logistics, with “Solarize”; played over 35 shows; met amazing people all over the world; and did my first tour in South Africa,” Maduk tells us. “I co-organized eight Liquicity shows in Amsterdam, Antwerp, London and Cologne. Also, I won the Best Newcomer DJ award at the Drum & Bass Awards!”

While it may seem like he’s running out of room to keep going vertical, things are still running in the green for this explosive artist. Before he puts his talents on display next month at Hospitality Antwerp, Liquicity Winterfestival and Fabric, let’s take a snapshot of 2015 through the eyes of Maduk.
