SHFT (pronounced ‘shift’, as in transfer or relocate) aka New Delhi-based techno DJ and producer Vipul Angirish makes music that is boundless, with a versatile sound that’s both clean and effervescent. The name SHFT was inspired by a decision made by Vipul, who has been performing since 2008, to shift from a moodier sound to more club-friendly rhythms. With tracks filled with both strong grooves and hypnotic elements, SHFT not only makes you dance, but also gives you ample space to reflect. The music is a testament of his eclectic influences, which range from electronic music stars Maceo Plex and Trentemoller to Western classical and contemporary jazz.

A regular on the club circuit, his festival appearances include the popular RESET series of gigs and Goa’s Sunburn where he played along side the likes of Seth Troxler. In 2015, he shared the stage with acts like Pleasurekraft (during his India tour) and Pretty Lights (at the Delhi leg of the Corona Sunsets). SHFT’s discography comprises over a dozen singles on major international techno labels, among them Germany’s Traum and Brazil’s Inminimax.
