Anyone who has been to EDC will tell you that Ferris wheels and art installations are kind of our thing—among the many other integral pieces that make up the Insomniac experience. Romain Tardy is a French digital artist who caught our eye (and ear) by incorporating both into a trippy, awe-inspiring project.

Tardy’s MGNTRN is a mega multisensory installation—spawned from his ‘70s psychedelic sci-fi influences—that uses a combination of projection mapping and LED sequencing. A massive Ferris wheel, laser-cut structures and dozens of panels take the viewer on a psy-fi trip through stunning audiovisual stimuli. Belgium-based producer Squeaky Lobster provides the audio aspect for this dazzling presentation, creating a live soundtrack for Romain’s exploration of space and time.

Proyecta brings you a 10-minute visual of MGNTRN in action. We’re just going to leave it below for whenever you’re ready to have your mind blown (it’s happened to us at least a few times already). Because installation art is cool.
