For anyone looking to turn up, party down, and just have a full-on good time, Wuki has got something especially for you.

The DJ/producer has dialed up a brand-new, high-energy, exclusive Nocturnal Wonderland 2017 mixtape that’s perfect for helping Headliners get even more pumped up going into the camping fest in September.

“I really wanted to show off my recent productions, as well as show the world where my brain is artistically at the moment,” the Pennsylvania native and current Denver resident explains of the mix. “The inspiration was to get back to my roots with the break-y, tech-y, clubby sound.”

Characterizing the mix as a 30-minute blend of “music to jump around and have some fun to,” Wuki points to Rayburger’s “Bolo” as the one track that best personifies the spirit of the mix as a whole.

“I just love how fun the drop is in the track,” he enthuses. “I just want everyone to dance around and smile.”

He also cues up Skrillex and Habstrakt’s “Chicken Soup” along the way, but in an alternate version with which a lot of listeners might not be as familiar.

“I think most people will be expecting the original drop, so I switched it on them,” Wuki explains of the Part Native Remix he plays in the set.

Citing the gym or a “pregame party” as the ideal environment to crank up the mix, the DJ is as excited as any Headliner to pull up to the Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernardino, California, next month for this year’s edition of Nocturnal Wonderland.

“I just want people to have as much fun as possible at my shows,” he emphasizes regarding his set at the annual festival. “I think this mix shows that I like to keep things light and just make dancey, fun music.”

A former member of the electro-rock band Innerpartysystem, Wuki dove head-first into the world of EDM after the group went on “indefinite hiatus” back in 2011. He heightened his DJ profile with E-Leven, a weekly show on Denver radio station 93.3 KTCL, before going on to release tracks on labels including OWSLA, Mad Decent, and Source.

Citing a wide range of influences—including 2 Live Crew (“I just love how their shows used to be; it was all about being silly and just making the crowd have fun”) and RL Grime (“I just think his vibe is so on point; I feel like he’s a true artist in everything he does, and I respect the hell out of that”)—the DJ works to bring all of that spirit together whenever he hits the decks. Catch Wuki’s wave with a spin through this exclusive Nocturnal Wonderland 2017 mix.

Nocturnal Wonderland 2017 takes place Friday, September 15, and Saturday, September 16, at Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernardino, CA. Tickets are available now. For more information, visit the official website.
