Tolstoi & Andsan Give Pete Dorling’s “Tabalaina” a Late-Night Bounce

England’s Pete Dorling has returned to drop a couple of hot new tracks on Swerve Digital. And if that weren’t enough, he’s bringing a couple of heavy-hitters along for remix duties. Equal talents in their own right, Tolstoi and Andsan have teamed up once again to knock the title track in question, “Tabalaina,” out of the park.

Both the original version and this remix are groove-fueled tech house thumpers, but Tolstoi and Andsan have dialed things back just enough for the late-night crowd. The percussion has been smoothed and stripped down a bit, and the rhythm seems to have just a healthy dash more bounce to it. A low but colorful bassline takes center stage, giving the whole flow a hypnotically body-moving feel. This remix stays true to the original vision of “Tabalaina” while giving the audience a brand-new view of it.
