Hot off the press from the upcoming Deep End Miami comp on Yoshitoshi comes Solarc’s rocketing warehouse thumper, “Aliens.” This track seems to hit in all of the right places: It has a cold, tech house, throwback demeanor that pumps warm blood through its big-room house veins. A locked-in yet still somehow shuffling beat pumps away with body-shaking rhythms. Led by a chunky kick and followed by hard drum-machine beats, deep swells rise and burst at will through lush scenery.

Solarc keeps the dynamics merging slow and low enough to almost slip past perception, but he puts “Aliens” in a motion of continuous shifts. That being said, there is the exception of a megalithic break and rise at the midpoint, whose waters swell with such force that they could lift any dancefloor off its feet. This tune is a perfect blend of tried-and-true, classic sounds combined with contemporary songwriting. Couple that with its warm and cold melding, and you’ve got quite the hit on your hands.

Available February 24 via Yoshitoshi Recordings.
