Over the past few years, Ravell has been making a quality name for himself within discriminating underground house circles in Southern California. The 24-year-old Angeleno, born Richard Garcia, first caught the attention of Kaskade, who promptly added him as opening DJ support on three consecutive album tours in 2012, 2013 and 2015.

In 2016, the protégé released his first original material on Kaskade’s signature label Arkade, including his funky debut single, “Do It Now” and the techier follow-up, “Get Away.”

Now Ravell is set to release his latest track, “That Body,” a fun, funky cut that combines the best of the rough and the smooth within modern house music. As he points out, it’s been one of his “go-to tracks” for some time now, and Insomniac is proud to present it as a free download.

“When making this song, I decided to go in a different direction with my sound,” says Ravell. “I wanted to create something that allowed me to think outside the box, so I combined funky, soulful vocals with some gritty basslines. Thanks to Insomniac for making it the Track of the Day and helping me give it away to my fans.”
