Track of the Day: 4 Strings & Katty Heath “Hold in Silence”
Carlo Resoort and Jan de Vos, together known as 4 Strings, have been holding it down for trance music for the better part of two decades. While they’ve moderately adapted their sound to fit the genre’s shifting influences, the Dutch duo is now holding out for a revival of the true trance scene, which they predict will occur in 2015. Their recent “Hold in Silence” collab, with Dutch songstress Katty Heath, sees them reverting back to the classic 4 Strings style that has proved favorable for them in the past. Katty strings us along with her crooning, as the power of her voice cuts through sleek chords and uplifting synth lines. Staying true to their roots, it’s a winning combination of vocal prowess and adept melodic maneuvering.
