UK producer the Golden Boy is all set to lay down some spicy beats at EDC Mexico this weekend, coming off the back of a huge year that saw him release a swag of killer tech house productions on stables like Glasgow Underground, Toolroom, Elrow and Cr2. Just in time for the weekend, he’s got his new two-track Party People EP dropping on Sonny Fodera’s Solotoko imprint, and we’re previewing its title cut as our Track of the Day.

The Golden Boy has shown time and again how good he is at working with vocals, whether it’s one of his powerful remixes or anthems like “The Promise.” But in the instance of “Party People,” they’re moved into the background for a slice of pure heads-down dancefloor fodder that’s set at a furious tempo with percussion galore.

“I’m really excited for the forthcoming year, and this release is the perfect starting point of where I’m going musically,” he told us. “I’ve been playing a lot of the Solotoko stuff out, so when Sonny said he’d like to sign the tracks, I was buzzing!”

Available February 22 via Solotoko.
