Sounds of EDC Mexico Showcased in Pumping New 25-Track Compilation on Insomniac Records

EDC Mexico returns this weekend for another two-day event that brings the EDC experience to Mexico City. Whether you’ll be in attendance yourself or you’re just looking to get a taste of the overall vibe, Insomniac Records has unleashed the official EDC Mexico 2018 compilation, which features fresh music from the festival’s international cast of talent.

“This album showcases a variety of artists from around the globe, with a focus on regional and Latin American talent playing the festival,” says Insomniac Founder Pasquale Rotella. “It will take you right to the Autódromo with a special taste of what’s in store.”

Featuring 25 tracks, EDC Mexico 2018 equally showcases a broad taste of the bigger, more established acts playing at the festival, across to the up-and-comers. Names like EDM favorite R3hab feature alongside drum & bass veterans Noisia, while elsewhere are collaborations from Gammer and Darren Styles, as well as Sinden and Bijou.

“I’m excited to be included on the EDC Mexico compilation and equally excited to play in Mexico City,” says JSTJR, whose track “158” is featured. “I’m always down to add something fresh and different to the mix, and I think it gives a good idea of what to expect from me this year!”

Meanwhile, Sacha Robotti says his contribution to the compilation, “Play a Game,” was created alongside JTJ in Los Angeles.

“The track is a dirty little nugget based on a siren-like, repetitive melody capable of spiraling your mind into a meltdown. The whole thing sits on a haunting bassline and boasts some alien sound effects. If you listen closely, you can hear X-rated vocal samples. Enjoy!”
