Boy, do we love This Ain’t Bristol around here, and their latest release is the perfect proof as to why. Coming at us via German duo Mat.Joe, “Repeat” is a shuffling, gradually layered tech house jam built around zippy synths, loopy bloops, snappy percussion, sputtering transitions, and a robotic voice that chants the title, well, on repeat. The vocal might subliminally encourage you to put this on replay, but chances are the groove itself will move you to do that on its own. We’re speaking from experience here.

“‘Repeat’ is one of our wildest tracks so far,” Mat.Joe tell Insomniac. “It was created on a lonely hotel rooftop in Monterrey and finished at home in Berlin. We’re obviously big fans of rave synths and really enjoyed building the twisted, quite mechanical groove around all those heavy lead synths. It’s always a lot of fun to pull this one out and see the crowd reaction. Yeah!”

This is their first drop for This Ain’t Bristol, but if they keep it up, it likely won’t be their last.
