Marquis Hawkes’ Jackin’ Lo-Fi Remix of Fat Sushi’s “My Empire”

On today’s Track of the Day, Swiss duo Fat Sushi links up with London-based songwriter Archivist on this swirling cosmic journey for their own Fat Wax imprint. For the digital package, they’ve also called on two talented remixers, including Marquis Hawkes, a steady hand from Will Saul’s AUS label.

Following up notable tracks like “The Basement Is Burning” and “The Phoenix,” the UK house mainstay keeps the original vocal sample on a continuous loop, pairing it with his signature jackin’ lo-fi beat. It’s a solid effort all around.
