Michael York, known professionally as SUAHN, is an American bass music producer from Baltimore, Maryland. Blending elements of acid, techno, and bass music, he is described as “…wildly innovative…” (Dancing Astronaut) creating a style of music that is not easily defined.
Over the last few years, SUAHN has gained the attention of artists such as RL Grime, Ivy Lab, and Boombox Cartel with his unapologetically raw techno-infused bass music. With influences that range from Aphex Twin to Boys Noize to Bon Iver, SUAHN’s music feels both emotive and unrelenting.
With an ever present need to grow and create, SUAHN continues to redefine himself with every release. Now in 2023, SUAHN continues to push his music into new, angular directions both musically and visually, with no end in sight.
