One of the leading American acts in the hard dance scene, SOREN is the project of Los Angeles-based DJ/producer Bryce Sorensen. Since its inception, SOREN has become synonymous with hard dance’s uncompromising energy and innovation, earning the backing of some of the genre’s biggest acts and labels while redefining its possibilities on both sides of the Atlantic.
Releases on Insomniac’s Basscon Records and Kayzo’s Welcome Records — two of the largest and most influential hard dance labels in the United States — established SOREN’s hard-hitting, adrenaline-pumping sound. It didn’t take long for his visceral fusion of forward-thinking sound design and diamond-cut production to catch the attention of Dirty Workz, prompting his invitation to join their roster in 2023. SOREN is currently the sole American act signed exclusively to the Belgian imprint, widely regarded as the world’s premier hard dance label.
Over the years, this momentum has propelled SOREN to dance music’s most coveted stages across major music markets, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Miami, among others. From marquee North American festivals like EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Miami, Escape SoCal, Beyond Wonderland, and Wasteland, to iconic Los Angeles venues such as the Hollywood Palladium, Academy, and Exchange LA, his arena-sized sound has become a staple of both the festival circuit and the city’s thriving club scene. As his profile continues to rise, with support from dance vanguards like Coone and Porter Robinson, SOREN’s stateside footprint only further expands, as highlighted by recent performances at The Regent, BloomSD, and August Hall (SF).
