Cyberpunk’s been in need of more drum & bass, and conversely drum & bass could do with more prolific female neurofunk producers. Enter: Skellytn. As the first female to ever release a D&B album in North America (2022’s Neurocomputer on Reid Speed’s Play Me Records), as well as the first female to release on neuro heavy hitters Eatbrain, Skellytn has a complex and technically tight style that will have fans believing she may actually be the villainous megacorporation she supports with her brand.

A graduate of the famous Los Angeles production school Icon Collective, Skellytn credits the LA underground scene in which she grew up as well as electronica icons like Skrillex and Noisia for inspiring her to learn to make music. She has released on Space Yacht, Emengy, and Drama Club before her Neurocomputer debut dropped. Skellytn has also graced the decks with the likes of Alix Perez, Shades, and Ghastly as well as headlining Respect LA. Not to mention, Neurocomputer charted at number five on Beatport’s D&B Top 100, prompting features in UKF, Your EDM, and Bassrush.

With her cyber-bass concept on point and an industrial-tinged and well-honed musical style, Skellytn is now set to take the UK and Europe by storm and it is poised to be the first female to break neurofunk in a way none have done before. Is it genius or is it AI? Skellytn is both.
