Skanka is quickly becoming a rising force in the U.S. Drum and Bass scene. Based in Los Angeles, the producer and DJ is turning heads with his dynamic sound and high-energy performances. Since making his debut in January 2023 at the Bardot Lounge inside the iconic Avalon Hollywood, Skanka has become a staple in LA’s vibrant Drum and Bass community.
His relentless dedication to the craft has earned him the respect of fans, fellow artists, and top promoters like Respect, Merge, Timeless, and Bassrush/Insomniac. A pivotal moment in his career came in April 2024, when he opened for REAPER on the Challenger Tour presented by Bassrush. That performance opened the door to a series of high-profile bookings with Insomniac, where he has since supported acts like Muzz in Los Angeles, and REAPER and Dimension in multiple cities. In March 2025, he also performed at the official Southern California Beyond Wonderland Afterparty.
Skanka’s debut release came in December 2023 with Pulse Riot. Throughout 2024, he followed it up with several singles that led to the release of his first full-length project, The Hat Man (Deluxe), in March 2025. The 12-track album includes five original tracks, a collaboration with longtime friend Yucki, and six remixes across genres like Dancefloor Drum and Bass, Jump Up, UKG, 140, and Melodic House—featuring some of Southern California’s most exciting emerging artists.
Now, with The Hat Man behind him, Skanka is already deep into the next phase of his artistic journey, pushing his sound even further. As the embodiment of his brand, DNB Personified, Skanka stands for the passion, energy, and creativity at the heart of Drum and Bass. With momentum on his side and no signs of slowing down, he continues to inspire the next generation of producers while redefining what’s possible in the scene.
