Salbany is the alter ego of Guilherme Alves, producer, sound technician and DJ, who, in a short time, conquered his place in the panorama of Portuguese electronic music.

Guilherme Alves was born in Torres Vedras in the nineties, and from an early age he became interested in electronic music in its most varied forms. Music has always been a constant presence, becoming an integral part of him.

Frequent visitor to electronic music parties, in 2014 decides that music and audio would be the path to a professional life. Completes a professional sound technician course, and shortly thereafter, began working in the field, making live sound for bands, studio recordings and working on projects related to theater and cinema. During this period participates as a DJ in parties.

The passion for techno was kept alive and in 2018 he became a producer, being a great fan of everything that is analog machinery, synthesizers, sequencers, external effects etc.; stars to invest slowly and acquires equipment and machinery, until, at the end of 2019, records his first EP, thus creating the alter ego Salbany.

In March 2020, Salbany debuts his live act and soon becomes a techno revelation in the national scene. In April of the same year, he edited his first EP by Modulhertz Records (Natural Runner).

In their live performances, the influence of Detroit and the 90’s Techno is notorious.
