Los Angeles native DJ, producer, and live act, ONYVAA is one of Europe’s newest import rising on the global techno circuit. During her live act performance you can expect an energetic voyage that is influenced by the timeless sounds of Detroit and early 90’s warehouse techno. Combining hypnotising melodic loops that she constructs with her modular eurorack, groovy bass heavy drums, emotive pads and synths, vintage vinyl that she has scouted from flea markets throughout Paris, along with her original field recordings she collects around the world. Intermixing all of these elements, she sculpts a vibrant expedition that sets the dance floor on fire.

Based in Paris, France, she is the founder/owner of vinyl and digital label, Passeport Records, which is distributed and pressed by Word and Sound and mastered by Dubplates & Mastering in Berlin. With a deep love for obscure field recording, she captures organic sounds from around the globe, encapsulating its ambiance into her original tracks.

Laurent Garnier described her Passeport 007 release as “excellent dancefloor monsters….”, also supported by Marcel Dettmann, Maya Jane Coles, Chris Liebing, Joris Voorn and many more. Passeport gives her creative autonomy to release her original productions.

ONYVAA’s brand of no frills and movement provoking techno has landed her on renowned stages like Rex Club, Spazio 900, Paradiso, Harry Klein, Cafe Gallery, Loft Club, Festival Panoramas, Marvellous Island Festival, Café d’Anvers, D! Club Lausanne, Future Frequency Festival, Cercle at Musée de l’Air et de l’Espace and l’Institut du Monde Arabe alongside artists like Len Faki, Josh Wink, Luke Slater, Ken Ishii, Chris Leibing, Ellen Allien, Charlotte de Witte, Fjaak and many more.
