It would be very difficult to find something other than music that connects people from all over the world, regardless of language, status, color or even religion. We have an emotional and almost physical relationship with music that carries from one individual to another. Put enough of those individuals in the same environment, and you have an enlightening experience. As Night Movers, this is what we crave.
What’s the biggest misconception about being a DJ? What would people be surprised to find out about the profession?
The biggest misconception about being a DJ is that anyone can be one. In reality, a professional DJ is worlds apart from the average music consumer with a laptop. Most people don’t understand the hours and hours a professional DJ puts into music selection and honing his craft.
Are you impulsive with your work (in the studio and/or DJing), or do you have a sketch in mind before you start?
We are highly impulsive with our work. Each project starts on a fresh canvas and is unique.
How important is it for you to experiment and take on the risk of failure?
Any great accomplishment runs the risk of failure. Pushing boundaries and testing the limits is the source of our excitement and could not be without the risk of failure.
What gets you excited when you think about the future of electronic music and club culture?
One of the most exciting aspects in the electronic music scene and club culture is the constant upgrading and integrating of new technology.

As secret passions go, Zac’s enthusiasm for the culinary arts stands out the most.
