Origin: United States
Monterrey is an Electronic music act from Miami, FL. It was founded by producer, Roger del Pino, from his bedroom in 2014 with the premiere of a single titled ‘Play Along’ which called back to early new wave/synthpop music. Other members Aldo Canals (Guitar/Synth), David Hidalgo (Drums/Percussion), and Renzo Zanatta (Bass/Synth) joined in 2018. Monterrey maintained an active presence playing a series of shows around Florida and the Southeast US. Their dreamy single ‘Come Home’ landed them Miami New Times ‘Best Electronica Act’ in 2019 followed by success with their pandemic-inspired single, ‘Terrarium’, which found its way onto Spotify’s Fresh Finds: Indie playlist in 2020. Monterrey now looks forward to releasing another single this summer followed by an EP.
