Fury, born Stephen Blakley in Rochester, New York, is a DJ, rave promoter, and former professional snowboarder who has made a lasting impact on the drum and bass scene. After moving to Colorado in the ’90s, he started DJing under the name Fury and quickly became known for his versatility, mixing everything from hardcore techno to jungle and breakbeat. By the early 2000s, he was recognized as one of Denver’s leading jungle DJs, contributing to the growth of the city’s vibrant rave community. His love for the music and the culture led him to co-found influential events like Skylab, Breakdown, Gravity Fridays, and Rewind, helping to bring people together through the power of electronic music.
Beyond DJing, Fury has stayed involved in the scene as a promoter and graphic designer. He founded Reload Productions, a company focused on producing events across the nation, and also runs The Firm Graphics, where he designs logos and promotional materials for festival-style events. While he’s built a strong presence in the industry, Fury remains dedicated to supporting the community and working with others. He frequently performs at major festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival and Electric Forest, often collaborating with MC Dino to create unforgettable experiences for fans. Through his work, Fury has earned a respected place in the American drum and bass scene, though he prefers to let his music and events speak for themselves.
