Akira Akira, the 21-year-old producer and DJ from Los Angeles weaves a style that’s all his own, tapping into jersey, trap, dubstep, kuduro, and more. His diverse productions have garnered attention from Diplo & Mad Decent, resulting in multiple releases with the label, a Diplo & Friends mix, and inclusion in the last Mad Decent tour run of Japan. Apart from his success with Mad Decent, Akira has also released thru Good Enuff, Jadu Dala, Murky Rips and Main Course; the latter finding itself sound tracking the runway at Rihanna’s Fenty X Puma show at NYFW. Eclectic in taste as much as in production, Akira’s accomplishments as a selector have also been displayed in his mixes for BBC Radio, Rinse FM, Block.FM, Radar Radio, FBI Radio, and NestHQ.
